The entire book was one note, sad. The heroine's story sad, the hero's story depressing, even when they get together they are sad because i don't think that they would be together if they were not "life-mates". There is no romance or passion in any of the characters. The entire book was just one sad story after another until the sudden resolution of all their problems in the last 10 pages which was really annoying.I really wanted to like this book because I love shifter romances but this story was just bad. If you are looking for a good shifter romance, I would recommend Madelaine Montague or Shelly Laurenston.

This is a shrter book, and I read it in about four hours. It's a great werewolf story, a great lesson about bigotry (on both sides of the coin) and about overcoming prejudices, and it's a pretty darn good love story too. Is it predictable? Yes...and no. I hoped for the ending that it gives, but the way it gets their is quite unexpected. Very enjoyable. I've read 3 of this authors books now, and I really like the talent.
